Aim and Scope

The Journal of Politics and International Studies (JPIS) is an open-access, double-blind, peer-reviewed research journal dedicated to advancing scholarly research and providing a rigorous intellectual platform for researchers, academics, and policymakers. Its core focus is the dissemination of original research and critical analysis concerning domestic, regional, and global political phenomena.

The journal welcomes submissions in, but not limited to, the following areas:

Journal Information & Ranking

The JPIS has been publishing since 2015 by the Department of Political Science, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. The journal was approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in 2015 and ranked in the Z-category. In 2019, it was upgraded by the HEC in Y-Category and is available at the current list of HEC’s Approved Journals.

About the Publisher

The journal is the flagship publication of the Department of Political Science at the University of the Punjab. Established in 1933, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious departments for the study of politics in the region. The department’s mission, as reflected in the journal, is to foster critical thinking and provide high-quality education and research that impacts both national policy and international scholarship.
